Dinosaur or Bookstores

Been on the prowl for bookstores in NYC. Very few left. It’s a shame that they are all disappearing. Especially since I have just written a book and need to get it out there. Don’t get me wrong there are a few that are thriving like Forbidden Planet, McNally Jackson, Desert Island, Saint Marks Books, Empire Books in West Virginia, Greenlight in Brooklyn, Skylight in LA, etc. Unless it’s a B&N or a specialty bookstore it seems to be going the way of the dinosaur. Never thought I’d see the day.

More tomorrow…

  1. Unless it’s a Waterstones or a W.H.Smiths you won’t see many bookshops these days and W.H.Smiths is technically a newsagents. However, in Bath you do have Toppings ad of course Mr B’s, which is one of the most amazing independent bookshops in Europe.
