Pot Holes And Book 2 In The Works…

Yesterday I blogged about an artist in Chicago filling potholes using mosaics. Brilliant idea and thanks for all the positive feedback. Also thank you Louis and Harken for the article. Here it is again. Deserves the attention. The artist is Jim Bachor.

I called in a pothole several months ago and it still hasn’t been filled. The worse part is that I keep forgetting it’s there.

Anyway book 2 Greetings from Karpland, is coming along very nicely. The above illustration is a teaser as to what is in store for our band of  hero misfits. Perhaps that should be the name of the third book. Hopefully by then they won’t be misfits anymore.

Read The Hard Goodbye which is the first book of Sin City by Frank Miller. At first I was on the fence but now I’m addicted. I’ll be ordering the next one, A Dame To Kill For today. His illustrations are very interesting and good reference. So is the writing, as sparse and simple as it is. I have definitely joined the cult following. Hopefully I will be able to follow in his footsteps. Greetings will also be presented as an installation next year in Heidelberg. So watch out world!!

Not to change the subject but have you ever felt this way? Proud and headless? This is pre Photoshop and truly a wonderful find. Free hi-res photos. Non-commercial use only from the Met.

More tomorrow…
