Report Finds NYC’s Art World 200% Whiter Than Its Population

Maine

What a surprise…what they forgot to include are women of any race. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/01/story_n_5548398.html

Then you have people like Larry Clark who I blogged about yesterday who is just fed up with the whole system. He posts his films on his website htttp://www.larryclark.com and is done with Hollywood. I think the Internet is a wonderful release when it comes to things like this. Self publishing whether you are in favor of it or not, seems to be the only outlet for a lot of art and artists. Galleries have just so much room and Hollywood too has its priorities. They are all about making money (and I don’t blame them), but by the same token when a product is good, you can’t get in the front door, no matter how hard you knock. Frustrating but true.

Other news: It appears that many celebrities have  not only come out and admit to being gay, but some have also been exposed to the Z chromosome. This is indeed big news. I am in the process of gathering a list. So in other words your favorite star may not be completely human after all.

More to come…
