Good News…

rhino

The good news today is that I have been selected as a finalist for the Elizabeth Hulings Grant. Unfortunately I’m not receiving any money.  However I am told this is very prestigious and will be listed in all their promotional material. My proposal was and still is about  the second installation of the Z series, Greetings from Karpland. We all know it’s about gender issues and how governments treat the underdog. So for the idea to be considered is pretty huge. This affirms the fact that the work I am now doing is important, timely and karmic.

This coming weekend I hope to get to a few galleries in Bushwick. It will be interesting to see what is going on in that neck of the woods. Here in JC we have very few galleries. Drawing Rooms on Grand Street is an excellent venue to show work. Jim Pustorino puts together some pretty interesting shows. But Hipster Brooklyn is worth a look.
