Black Out In Jersey City Caused By Raccoon Conspiracy…

The other evening, Jersey City was shutdown by the first action of the protest group Le Raccoon.

A symbol of the group was left on site of the activity, which shut down electricity including Light Rail and PATH services for three hours early Friday night. The city, its credibility already damaged by the sewer system break that for the last two weeks has crippled mass transit seemed dumfounded by this action and their inability to prevent or conceive of a simple and yet so devastating a feat.

In a manifesto provided to Mayor Steven Fulop, the group said it is named after the Raccoon Lodge of the Jackie Gleason Show. It was so named be cause the lodge was filled by regular guys invested in grass roots community resistance against the evils of injustice and the fallacy that the government can control or make us safe in this time of multiple protests or acts of terrorism. After all it was Davey Crockett that first wore this American symbol of ingenuity, home spun clear thinking and patriotism.

The group says it is time for citizens and government alike and to see how far behind or ahead we are in understanding the frailties and misconceptions of our ability to make us safe from harm from inside and outside forces affecting our daily lives. Governments are ineffectual and bereft of new ideas. They are fearful of the power of the people as we work to make positive change to the overt and institutional racism that exists in this country and are ignorant of global terrorism that threatens to sweep the nation.

On another note, my good friend and neighbor Michael held a holiday party. The group Segunda Quimbamba founded by Juan Cartagena was invited and they were awesome!!

Also an update for Industry City from Art F City:

This week we report a rare real estate victory for New York artists: After AFC reported that development giant Industry City tacked on enormous end-of-year operational expense charges to rents, the company conceded the bills were issued in error. Good.
