Wake Up And Move Over…

IMG_0156The more I write about the state of the world, the more depressed I get. Perhaps it’s my age or the fact that the world seems to be getting more and more crowded. Last night I was watching the news and there seems to now be earthquakes in Connecticut. Years ago wasn’t that the reason why we all just didn’t pick up and move to California? Although some will disagree, I attribute this to Fracking.

And of course the city is becoming more and more unlivable:

And the LES is starting to realize there may be a parking problem. At this point I almost wish there was a place to go like Baker Island. Ivan seems to be doing a better job getting the place together than our local government. It also surprises me that people are finally waking up to this problem. We have so little space to work with and so much greed that is taking over. The whole Citibike fiasco is just that. Eliminated tons of parking around the city, docking stations aren’t working as they should and somehow this endeavor (from what I last heard) is loosing money. Makes no sense. Well hopefully it will all work out.

On another note, I saw the film Mr. Turner yesterday. I highly recommend this film if you like his work. The acting was great and the cinematography was excellent. He is one of my favorite 19th century.

Also Ivan is back. I predict a not so pretty picture is about to be painted…
