This makes me laugh:
For the people who subscribe to all this Condo Cancer and luxury rentals, why are they so surprised that their amenities have skyrocketed? If they don’t like it, go join another gym, move out to the burbs. This is exactly what I’m talking about. Once you allow the 1% to dictate and take over, stuff like this happens. The flavor of the neighborhoods disappear and BOOM!! You get what you pay for and in this case don’t complain because you have to pay a lot. So as I have said in past blogs, if you can afford $4000 for a studio in Manhattan or Brooklyn, deal with the fact that rents for others are astronomical as well. Thank Bloomberg for all of this.
And while I am on this particular rant, let’s spend some more money and live here:
I used to live a block away from the Gowanus Canal. It was loaded with garbage and was lime green. I hear it hasn’t changed much. They are still calling it the “Venus of Brooklyn.” We always talked about how the neighborhood thugs would murder people and dump their bodies in the canal. Years ago they were afraid to dredge and clean it for fear that there were untreatable viruses living at the bottom. Hmmmmmmmm…
And now animated gifs from ARTFCITY. This is a much more pleasant topic:
More on Bushwick:
Ivan will return tomorrow. Right now he has a lot to ponder…
