Water Towers And Snow Storm…

The Z Factor

My facination with water towers started back in the late 80’s early 90’s.18)-WaterTower

I was painting them and slowly turning them into abstracts. I researched them, had shows about them, etc.  The clothing company Brooklyn Industries, uses a water tower as it’s logo. When I saw this I knew it was just a matter of time that someone would think of this:

Turns out after I Googled it, a lot of towers are being used as housing and restaurants.

Personally I think it’s a cool idea. But it’s Williamsburg and cool is the way to go there. Now I’m certain they will start making them into condos. You know how the pattern works: artists (me painting them), gays ( I don’t know if any gays are involved here), restaurants, shops, then the wealthy. To take one of my beloved images and recycle it’s purpose is OK, but…
