Cooking At PippiFax and the Show…

Interesting bit of news concerning the Whitney:

In a way I’m glad they found corporate sponsorship. On the other hand is this going to be  any different than what they were planning?

More important at the moment is our show here in Dilsberg which is about a week away. We will be hanging it next week and the opening is that weekend. Our time here went very fast and we produced a lot of work, along with huge development(s), progress, friends, etc. It will be interesting to be back home and think about the next “big” thing. I find that’s the way it is being an artist. I suppose that is one of the reasons why I mediate. Hopefully the next big thing will be taking this work to another level and realizing a larger audience.

Claudia Brieske came to visit and hopefully (for the last time) helped to render out my animation. I have to say that when I was  painter there wasn’t any Internet or New Media to deal with. Just shooting slides and peddling your work to galleries. Illustrating was a bit more difficult in terms of presentation. Now we live in a different world. Producing art is not as relaxing as it used to be, especially if it’s computer based.

And since I have been burning the candle at both ends, I seemed to have come down with a cold. Gerd (PippiFax) gave me some homeopathic stuff so hopefully it will be under control by tomorrow. In the meantime I think today will be mostly about rest. Then again knowing me it will be hard not to do something.

Speaking of which, I managed to cook lunch for PippiFax. So today there will be a special item on the menu.

Ivan will be back soon. But here is part of a drawing for Chapter 5:
