Another Show and Countdown to Installing the Show Here…

Good news: I’m in another show curated by my good and colleague friend Rob Kimmel:

“Horns To Tale” show at APE in Northampton, Massachusetts:

Opening on Thursday, June 4th. The reception will be Friday, June 12th. Goes thru June 29th. The gallery’s hours during the time the show is up will be Tuesday through Sunday 12noon to 5pm and Friday12noon to 8pm (dark on Mondays). Looks like a nice space and the people I will be showing with are awesome.

Now back to Dilsberg and my cold that has now traveled to my nose and has kept me up all night. I have a sneaky suspicion that the homeopathic elixir was the reason I couldn’t get any sleep, or very little. But all is not lost, today I can function and get back to working on the show, sorting out the images, etc. Just can’t venture out too far.

Now that we are coming to the tale end of our adventure here, there are a few things that I’ve learned. For instance Germany has the best lip syncing in the world. Yes this is true. Too bad they can’t match up the voices to sound like the American actors. That would probably be too much. This is also the most “German” part of Germany. Untouched by the war because Heidelberg has no industry and the US wanted to have their headquarters here. So while sitting in the cafe the other day a woman asked me how did we end up here? I think because Dilsberg is so off the beaten track, we don’t get a lot of foreign tourists.

We are considering a day trip to Frankfurt because there are a few very important contemporary art museums there. It’s an hour from Heidelberg and we will still have about another week and a half before we fly home. Spring has finally arrived and it is major walking weather. So aside from writing the rest of the GN, a few more drawings, we will have time to enjoy what the area has to offer. (It will also be good practice in getting to the airport. We fly out of Frankfurt.)

Since they have “improved” this site it’s best that I publish this now. But be sure to check out: Another drawing and maybe some storyline.
