The Renaming of Dilsberg to Karpsberg…

review 2Just heard from my good friend Gerd Becker owner of PippiFax Cafe. He posted this review/article of us that came out today. The reviewer managed to spell my name right this time. Also according to Gerd he said the review was very favorable and they are renaming Dilsberg to Karpsberg. I think he’s kidding but it’s a nice thought. Gives me more material to include in the storyline.

Anyway it’s great to see how much of an impression we made. Gerd wrote a song about the book and he, Tannemarie, Simon and Paul performed it as the “Swinging Karplands”, the night before we left. Big surprise and very touching. They were pretty good too. Offer our Israeli friend made up 1/3 of the audience which consisted of me and Sandy.

All in all the entire experience was well worth it. The people in the town were really cool and hung out with us regardless of the language barrier. I think this was important to them because we did have celebrity status and weren’t snooty. People who we hardly knew or spoke to were saying goodbye. Just to know we touched peoples lives in such a positive way, not just through art but through acceptance and love was amazing. I think we forget how important this is.

It’s also great to know that the books are developing a following.

Anyway back to reality…or my reality.

Aarongun

Trying to finish the story line and started another drawing. I am approximately halfway through writing and probably not quite there in terms of the art. But coming along and hopefully will be done sooner than later.

In the meantime there is a lot of stuff happening here. New Whitney and we white folks are about to become the minority in the next 25 years. I personally believe most of us will succumb to the Z Factor.
