A Terrible Loss…

Just heard the news about Chris Burden. He helped bring performance art to the forefront. I remember when he was doing his Fluxus installations and performances way back when I was a student:

More Condo Cancer: As you know I blogged yesterday about the shopping mall that is slated for condos in Downtown JC. Pep Boys is closed and is reminiscent of the 5 Pointz building in LIC. The interesting part about the Pep Boys building is that it’s completely covered with graffiti and untagged. Yesterday before venturing into Brooklyn to see the Pratt Show I stopped by to take some photos:

These are just a few. I think I took around 40 shots. Unfortunately my thumb got into the last one. But some of the imagery is very interesting and well done. Personally I think they should leave it and incorporate it as part of the city’s mural project. I don’t think anyone will miss not having another condo going up.

Working on Greetings in the hopes that it will be finished fairly soon. That’s just the story line. Once that’s done I think the rest will fall into place fairly quickly.

So stay tuned…
