More Artist Woe and Highlights…

Thank you Marta Wapiennik for the backgrounds. This may be the way the 3rd book will transpire.

I’m coming down from my first full work week. Haven’t been keeping up with writing and Greetings From Karpland but it is coming along. I am in the middle of completing yet another panel THE DRONE WARZ, so stay tuned…

Came across this piece in ARTFCITY. Amazing how times have changed. Pretty soon to should I say it’s happening, the only artists left on this side of the planet will be rich ones who can afford space:

Then we have the New Museum Triennial that will only pay attention to you if you are under 33. I suppose they are seeking the point of view of how young artists live and survive in the art world today, rather than include people whose careers peaked in the past. Still leaves no room for the experienced and pioneers that helped get them where they are today. It will be interesting to see what the contemporary art world will look like in 10 years:

And now for some well deserved recognition:

Fermin Mendoza has been doing murals around JC for about a year now and deserves some attention. His work is great and well thought out. Congratulations Fermin!!

And this may be the basis of my next trip:

I think I had better hurry before the developers get to them.
