Went to the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences opening last night. NJC Works on Paper- 2016. The exhibition was curated by Carter E. Foster, Steven and Ann Ames, curator of drawing at the Whitney. It was a lovely opening, very low key and the work was very good. Some of the artists traveled from places as far as Ohio, Florida and as close as Philadelphia. If by chance you visit the Jersey Shore stop in. Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences, 120 Long Beach Blvd, Love ladies, NJ. 08008, (609)-494-1241, Dates: July 1-20.

Also found this on ArtFCity. Another view of gentrification. Interesting article.
